Explore Slovenia's rich Natural and historical heritage

Take a leisurely bike ride through unspoilt natural areas and multifaceted landscapes. Slovenia is Europe's green heart! This destination is full of natural and cultural wonders. You will follow beautiful cycle paths and scenic routes with little traffic to discover stunning Alpine landscapes, spectacular caves, enchanting lakes and castles, as well as gentle hills dotted with vineyards all the way to the Adriatic coast, where you will find a Venetian atmosphere.

Slovenia offers an ideal biking playground, from small, flat roads through the countryside, along the Soča River or the Adriatic coastline, to more challenging, mountainous routes. No matter your cycling level or experience, you will be able to enjoy this small country to the fullest by cycling at your own pace: we will design together an itinerary to suit your preferences and abilities. So don't be afraid to venture out into the hilly countryside, opting for an electric bike will help you if you so wish.

As you cycle along, you will be amazed by the diversity of its natural beauty: majestic mountains, deep valleys, gentle hills and lush forests intertwined with wild rivers, waterfalls and lakes. Any outdoor enthusiast will fall in love with this green paradise!

Slovenia is also home to outstanding cultural and architectural treasures. By bike, discover a fascinating heritage that will amaze even an experienced traveller. Dare to step into castles and fortresses with breathtaking views. Sightseeing not only charming villages but also exceptional UNESCO sites such as the Idrija mercury mines will be an additional delightful experience.

As you carry on towards Slovenia's spectacular Adriatic coastline - with its many jewels inherited from its Venetian past – you will find a wide range of breathtaking natural landscapes. Hit the small, hilly roads of the Primorska region dotted with vineyards sun-kissed by the Mediterranean climate. Take the opportunity to have a well-deserved break and taste some of the local vintages, sure to delight wine amateurs and connoisseurs alike.

Explore Slovenia's fascinating underground world, which lies beneath your feet and will reveal many wonders and mysteries! These karstic caves are breathtakingly beautiful, and some of them can be visited in unusual ways: by train, by kayak... and even by bike, with a helmet and headlamp! A unique adventure awaits you!

As you can see, the possibilities are endless and, like us, you will never tire of returning to explore other hidden gems of this country or discover a small secret region of Italy situated between Slovenia and Venice, namely Friuli Venezia Giulia.

Breathtaking landscapes

Slovenia is blessed with a diverse and well-preserved natural environment and stunning landscapes, which deserve to be explored at your own pace, collectedly. It is an ideal playground for outdoor enthusiasts keen on walking, hiking, or cycling. You will be amazed by the incredible scenery of mountains, lakes, gorges, waterfalls and more. If you are looking for thrilling experiences, you will be spoilt: try canyoning, rafting or kayaking on wild emerald-green rivers through picturesque alpine valleys, via ferrata, rock climbing, and more. And all with great respect for nature.

Treat yourself to all the flavours

The variety of landscapes and climates is also reflected in Slovenian gastronomy. It is at the crossroads of four culinary worlds, influenced by Mediterranean, Alpine, Balkan and Pannonian cuisine. If you like soups, fish, meats in sauce, sausages, prosciutto ham, cheeses, pastries, etc., Slovenian cuisine will delight you. Slovenian wines are of excellent quality and pair well with the local cuisine. Discover them on a visit to a cellar or during a tasting session in one of the country's wine-growing valleys.
