The steps to create your trip

You fill in the very short contact form and choose the date and time of our telephone appointment. During this exchange, we work together to develop your tailor-made tour.
If you want a simultaneous call via WhatsApp, enter all the phone details in "other details to add".
You will receive an estimate by e-mail with a detailed description.
You validate the estimate (after any modification) and pay the deposit.
We make reservations and confirm your tailor-made tour.
About 10 days before your departure, you will receive your travel journal with your daily program and documents and information to facilitate your cycling trip.

What is included in my stay?

You will receive an estimate by e-mail that itemizes everything that is included in the price of the bike trip that we have built together during our telephone exchange: what accommodation, activities, meals, etc.

Does Evasion à Vélo take care of booking all the activities included in the trip (visits, sports and discovery activities)?

We take care of booking the activities/visits that need to be booked in advance: visits to a wine estate, sports activities/wellness/discovery... For "classic" and unplanned tourist visits (historical monuments, caves...), you will be autonomous. In addition, following our telephone exchange, you will receive an estimate by e-mail specifying which activities are included in the price of the bicycle trip.

I am interested in a tailor-made bike holiday but I don't have a clear idea of what I'm looking for, is that a problem?

Don't panic! It is not necessary to have a precise idea of your next cycling holiday. We are here to guide you in the creation of your trip and, to do that, we will ask you the right questions during a simple telephone conversation. If you would like to have an idea of what is possible, you can take a look at the examples of bike tours in the Drôme Provençale, Lubéron/Alpilles/Camargue, The Cathar country, Périgord and the Lot, Bordeaux and its surroundings, the Charentes and the Marais Poitevin, or the surroundings of Paris and Sicily.

THE ORGANIZATION OF YOUR BIKE TRIP

• The choice of the duration and type of bike ride in relation to your pace and desires:
- Looped bike tour: you change accommodation every day and return to the starting point on the last day
- Semi-marguerite bike tour: you change accommodation every 2 or 3 days and return to the starting point on the last day
- Marguerite bike tour: you stay in one place only
- One-way itinerant bike tour: you do not return to the starting point by bike but by taxi, train...
Variants as often as possible allowing you to shorten or extend the stage depending on your wishes : making a detour to visit a place or to sightsee, your form on a particular day or the weather
A contact who remains at your disposal by telephone throughout your trip
If you don't have your own equipment:
- Bicycle rental (road, hybrid, electrically assisted)
- Their delivery to your 1st accommodation and their recovery at the end of the stay
- For families the possibility of renting adapted equipment (child bike, child seat)
The description of the adapted bike route on several additional supports: highlighted map, use of a very simple application on your smartphone (bike holder provided), a travel journal that gives you all the necessary details
The options:
- To have a guide who will accompany you on all or part of the bike tour
- To have an assistance vehicle: a driver with a vehicle intervenes at your request, transports your luggage, your purchases (wine, crafts, etc.), organizes the lunches (picnic or restaurant)... a concierge service in itself!
- To order a vehicle at your request that picks you up for a partial or total transfer of the day's bike trip

THE COMFORT OF YOUR BIKE TRIP

The transfer of your luggage at times which give you the flexibility to organize your trip by bike. Luggage tags will be sent to you in advance
The secure reception of your bicycles at each accommodation point
The choice of your accommodation, always charming:
- Guesthouse or hotel,
- Level of services,
- A stay at exceptional establishment for one night or more,
Evening meals: table d'hôtes or restaurant depending on the location of the accommodation and your wishes
Lunchtime catering: In the travel journal, you will have a maximum of information on small catering establishments, farmers' markets, mini-markets etc. in the villages on your itinerary; and where possible, a picnic is provided by the host if you wish

OUR BIKE TRIP ADAPTED TO YOUR TASTES AND DESIRES

The theme(s) of your choice as the main theme(s) of the bike trip: historical heritage, gastronomy, viticulture, arts and crafts, with the family
Special addresses for craftsmen, producers (honey, jam, foie gras...), winegrowers (from the owner-grower to the Grand Cru Classé, from wine-tasting to visiting the estate...)
Different 1 day or ½ day activities in the middle of the trip: doing a sport or trying out a new one (canoeing, via ferrata, horse riding, etc.), trying an original activity (hot-air ballooning, creating your mosaic, making your macaroons, etc.), staying calm (spa, massage, etc.), depending on the region in which you stay
The reservation, if needed, of visits to monuments (private where possible) or the visit of more unusual places by local enthusiasts of their region
